The 29th Board

Hi, I am Liora. I am the President of the 29th Board of AEclipse. As president, I am mainly responsible for representing the association, leading the board, and formulating the long-term plans for AEclipse. Last year, I attended a lot of AEclipse events as a regular member and I had so much fun. However, this year I wanted to be more directly involved with the association so I decided to be a board member.
My aim for AEclipse has always been for us to be a platform for students to get familiar with career options, discuss interesting economic issues, and most important of all, to get together for a lot of fun events! Next to this, I aim to support my fellow board members so that we can have an enjoyable board year together!
I am Hanna, Secretary and Vice-President of the 29th board of AEclipse. I also am head of Marketing, managing a small team. This is my second year as part of AEclipse. In the last year I was a member of the Social Committee of AEclipse and helped to organize all of our social events and activities. My time with AEclipse in the last year was incredibly fun so I decided to join the Board for this year. Together with our president Liora de Lange we form an all female head of the organization.
In my role I am supporting the work of the president. I am responsible for general communication and administration, with special regards to our members. I am also head of the Marketing Team. Together we are responsible for designing and hosting the website and our presence on social media.

Hello everyone!
I’m Maria and I am the treasurer of the 29th board of AEclipse. I am 21 years old and I grew up in Portugal before moving to Rotterdam for my bachelor's degree. I loved this city and university so much that I decided to continue my journey by following the Policy Economics Master.
As treasurer of AEclipse I make sure that this master association remains financially healthy. I create an annual budget for all our activities and I manage the accounts. I will also be leading the Erasmus Thesis Project which is meant to help 3rd year students with their thesis writing.
I wanted to join AEclipse to be a part of a small family where we collaborate together to create a better and more exciting journey during our studies. I think this is a great opportunity to develop myself and to meet great people along the way.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about AEclipse, my role, or about EUR in general!
Hi all,
I’m Rafid Mantari, the Commissioner of External Affairs for the 29th AEclipse Board. My role is dedicated to bridging the gap between students and industry, providing valuable exposure to career opportunities in economics and beyond. This year, I aim to bring more focus on AI, digital finance, and the renewable energy industry—sectors that are shaping the future of our global economy. 🌍💡
I’m excited to connect with professionals and firms that align with these growing fields, ensuring our members gain deeper insights and networking opportunities. Whether you’re looking for industry exposure, recruitment connections, or just curious about where economics can take you, I’m here to help.

Heyho, I’m Nils Domenz, and I am the Academic Commissioner for the 29th board of AEclipse. I grew up in Germany and completed my bachelor’s degree in Utrecht before moving to Rotterdam for my master’s.
In my role as Academic Commissioner, I’m responsible for organizing all guest lectures and leading the National Economics Olympiad (NEO) for 2025. I also collaborate closely with university professors and the administration to organize academic sessions and improve the student experience. My goal is to create more opportunities for students to engage with professors outside of the classroom in a relaxed, informal setting, and to build strong feedback loops that ensure we’re always evolving and improving.
I wanted to join Aeclipse because my bachelor’s degree had such a close-knit community with a fantastic association, and I wanted to bring that same spirit to this community. I’m excited to help shape and contribute to a vibrant and collaborative environment here at EUR, where everyone can feel connected and supported.
If you have any questions about AEclipse, my role, or anything related to EUR or just want to chat, feel free to reach out! I’d love to connect.
Hola! I’m Paula, this year’s Commissioner of Development Economics. As the leader of the International Research Project (IRP), I am responsible for guiding a team of 12 dedicated students. Together, we collaborate with an organization in the field of development economics to conduct meaningful, real-world research over the course of a year.
In addition to our research, we organize a two-week field trip where we collect first-hand data, immerse ourselves in the local context, and gain valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities in the field. This experience allows us to bridge the gap between theory and practice, as well as fostering cross-cultural understanding.
I am thrilled about this journey and look forward to the impact we can make through our research!

I am Kemal, Social Commissioner of the 29th board of AEclipse. This is my second year as part of AEclipse. In the last year, I was a non-active member of AEclipse and attended social, academic, and career events. I enjoyed the activities and opportunities AEclipse offered last year so I decided to join the Board for this year. In my role, I am organizing social gatherings for the members like block drinks, karaoke, social activities with professors, Gala, and the City Trip with my committee.
